Action Sustainability will assist procuring organisations and suppliers to make `Forward Commitments'.
In short, this means using procurement to stimulate sustainable outcomes by committing to buying innovative products and services that will benefit from assured business from a client to invest in
developing new products or services.

Action Sustainability in conjunction with The Centre for Sustainable Design can offer our consultancy
services free of charge to a limited number of organisations who are prepared to get together to make
this happen.
We are looking for:
Procuring organisations with a desire to procure truly innovative solutions and a realistic attitude to
risk management.
Suppliers with innovative sustainable products that would benefit from the assurance of new business
to further develop their product.
Sound simple? That's because it is.
We will be holding an event called `Procuring Eco Innovations' for the construction sector

Location: Bricks & Bread Sustainable Living Centre, Aldershot
SUSCIN has been funded to work with influential procurers in the South East region to create
Forward Commitments. This involves creating demand for an innovative sustainable product that is
not yet available in the marketplace.
Forward Commitment Procurement is a new approach to procuring sustainable products and services
that effectively stimulates innovation. This unique means of matching demand with supply can
encourage new sustainable solutions and create better value for money.
Procuring Eco Innovations is a uique event, which will provide you with inspiration to come up with
ideas of new innovative products that could benefit your organisation, all focusing on the construction
sector.
By attending Procuring Eco Innovations, you will:
- Understand how you can use procurement to stimulate sustainable outcomes by committing to buying
an innovative construction product.
- Discover a showcase of cutting edge construction products currently being developed and launched in
the marketplace, and generate ideas for products which you may benefit from.
- Identify ways in which you can cut existing procurement costs by making a Forward Commitment.
Learn how you can benefit from free help to develop a Forward Commitment and be supported
throughout the procurement process.
- Find out how you can be seen as a market leader in sustainability by participating in this leading edge initiative to create demand for a new sustainable product.

We are also looking for innovative SMEs based in the South East to present their products to buyers
attending the event. Whether your product is at prototype stage, or just launched in the marketplace,
you can apply to attend the event to showcase your product to construction buyers. We will then be
able to provice you feedback on your product, and help you develop it to meet the needs of attending buyers.
