About us
Sustainable Supply Chains through Innovation (SUSCIN) is delivered by a consortium of leading experts and practitioners in sustainable innovation and procurement that includes The Centre for Sustainable Design, Action Sustainability and Remade South East. The team has recently been awarded European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and South-East England Development Agency (SEEDA) funding to run a series of events, training courses and other supporting activities to help organisations in the South East to embed sustainable procurement and sustainable design/innovation.
The Centre for Sustainable Design
The Centre for Sustainable Design was established in 1995 and is based at the University for the Creative Arts www.ucreative.ac.uk. The Centre undertakes and facilitates training, discussion and research on sustainable innovation and design. This is achieved through training, workshops, conferences, research, consultancy, publications, and information services. The Centre also acts as an information clearing house and is a focus for innovative thinking on future sustainable products and service development. Remade South East
The aim of Remade South East is to expand the successful waste market development activities of ReMaDe Kent & Medway across the South East of England. The new programme will create and sustain new markets for waste resources in order to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and to minimise carbon dioxide (CO²) emissions through the re-use and recycling of materials.
