Environmental Management Systems

Sustainable Procurement Workshops
The IEMA accredited sustainable procurement training courses will take place in central London on a number of dates throughout the year. The course aims to provide procurers with the key tools and techniques of sustainable procurement. The confirmed dates are as follows:

Content
Sustainable procurement principles - the morning is dedicated to learning more about sustainability and how it applies to supply chain strategy. It covers definitions of sustainability, the recommendations of the Task Force (including the Flexible Framework), the business case for sustainable procurement, supply chain risks and opportunities, prioritisation, supplier engagement and measuring success.
Sustainable procurement practice - the afternoon looks at how sustainable procurement is incorporated at a practical level into the procurement cycle. This includes defining the need, tendering and evaluations, contracting, contract management and finance and measurement.
Attendees leave the course with the capability and confidence to understand and exploit the benefits of procuring effectively and responsibly.
The overarching aim of the session is to help build the capability of those who are directly involved in or influence procurement decisions to embed sustainability into the procurement process.
