Heathrow Area Supply ChainLEARN HOW TO WIN BUSINESS - The Heathrow Area Supply Chain Programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the LDA, Heathrow Airport Ltd and London Boroughs of Hillingdon, Hounslow and Ealing. GoSouthGoThis project initially took place from February to May 2007, and was continued in 2008. The project was constructed to give small and medium-sized enterprises a greater understanding of where opportunities lay for them as a result of London 2012. This involved five seminars across South London and targeted the seven borough in this region. In total 275 attendees gained an in-depth understanding of the key issues surrounding the Games. An online portal was created for this that contained a directory of 50 local purchasing organisations for each of the seven South London boroughs and acted as a focal point for event bookings. In addition to this five online web-based seminars were created to last beyond the life-time of the event and to allow attendees to share the knowledge they gained with their own organisation and spread the learning of the event.
