This programme has been designed to help businesses from across the East Midlands access and win business from the multi million pound spend of the public sector. There are huge opportunities for organisations to win business from the public sector and this programme of events will help guide you through the process, offering you free training on all aspects of public sector procurement.
Information events
The first stage is 11 information sessions to be held during August and September across the East Midlands. These events are free to attend and will last approximately two hours. Please click on the ‘Information events’ tab to book your spaces.
Each session will include presentations by representatives from region specific public sector bodies in the East Midlands as well as experts in how to win business from the public sector.
Workshops
The second stage of our programme running throughout the Autumn of 2009 is a series of 21 full day workshops. Again these events will be completely free to attend but spaces are limited and on a strictly first come first served basis. The workshops will be held around the region and will cover the following four topics:
- Competing for contracts – The London 2012 games
- Understanding Pre Qualification Questionnaires
- Quality Standards for competitive advantage
- How to write and present effective tenders
The workshops will be held around the region on a variety of dates, so if you cannot make one date there will be opportunity to book for an alternative date.
Pease note places at these workshops are strictly limited to one person per company per workshop. Individual delegates will only be allowed to attend one of the four workshops.
Meet the Buyer
In January and February 2010, the third stage of this programme will be three separate Meet the Buyer events. The Meet the Buyer events will allow you to have a series of face to face meetings with key public sector buyers from around the region. The Meet the Buyer will be focused on the following sectors:
- Food & Drink in the public sector
- Construction in the public sector
- East Midlands Public sector – for all public sector organisations including the NHS, local authorities, schools, police, fire and emergency services.
The cost to attend a Meet the Buyer event will be just £25 per delegate, inclusive of VAT.
